All Eric wants for Christmas…

Eight-year-old Eric loves basketball, but his whole life clubfoot has forced him to watch from the sidelines. Although he always attempted to play with his three younger siblings, he was forced to bow out quickly as games got too tiring. Even walking to school was difficult for him, but that didn’t stop him from going and getting good grades!

Thanks to ICM’s Medical Mercy Program, Eric was able to receive the corrective surgery for his clubfeet in August of 2017. After his surgery at Davao Cure Hospital, he flew back to Bohol in casts but with hope for a new start. He still had to go through healing, cast removal and physical therapy, but he was left with strong, straight feet.

Surgery has given Eric the opportunity to keep pursuing success in life, whether that be in the classroom or on the basketball court. Maybe even both!

Support our Medical Mercy Program to change other children’s lives (and footwear!) this Christmas season.

This Christmas we are hoping to arrange operations for 12 children with clubfoot. Each surgery costs around US$1,000 to $2,000, so our goal is to raise US$20,000 over the holidays. Donate now to our Medical Mercy Program to help us give #TheGiftofOpportunities and reach our goal!
