PayPal Volunteers Packed Meals for Families in ICM Iloilo Base

On August 23, in partnership with Rise Against Hunger Philippines (RAHPH), volunteers from PayPal Philippines helped ICM pack 36,288 meals for ultra-poor families in Iloilo. The volunteers packed 42 boxes per two-hour shift from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM at the PayPal Headquarters in Alabang, Muntinlupa.

PayPal Country Head John Nicholls who also happened to be a member of International Care Ministries’ Board of Advisors, also joined one of the shifts to pack meals with his team.

To make the experience extra fun for volunteers, we gamified the meal packing event. For each shift, the first team to seal 10 boxes with 360 meal packs wins exciting prizes sponsored by our donors.

More than the fun and teamwork they experienced in packing, volunteers from PayPal Philippines also had the chance to better understand the dire situation of the ultra- poor.

We are grateful to PayPal for inspiring their employees to help bring hope and transformation in the lives of the ultra-poor. Kudos to the volunteers for spending their time at work to help us pack meals for those in need.
