A community of passionate, generous people giving what we can to stop the cycle of poverty.
ICM UK has grant agreements with International Care Ministries to provide grants in line with both organisations’ missions.
ICM UK is actively engaged with ICM’s mission of “transforming the futures of the ultra-poor.” Working closely with other ICM affiliated organisations and legal entities, it contributes to improving the lives of the ultra-poor through the following:
For those living on less than £0.35 per day, every day is a struggle to meet even the most basic needs.
One of the most stark and tangible aspects of life in poverty is that of hunger. Without enough resources, parents are often not able to provide food for themselves or their children.
The complex problems of ultra-poverty require an innovative, holistic solution.
Elsie, a Transform participant and mother of four, started with an initial contribution of P10 to her Savings Group.
Poverty alleviation research is a huge part of ICM’s work with people living in ultra-poverty. We are committed to the rigorous measurement of our programs. We track everything that happens on the ground.
It took Edna 17 years, and ICM’s Recover program to finally find healing. Now, she’s ready to start anew. Edna participated in a six-week program offered for Typhoon Odette victims back in 2021.
Teresa lives in a small house with a dirt floor. On one side of the room is a small cot, on the other is a makeshift kitchen with piles of charcoal and a cooker.

“What really amazes me with ICM is that the impact is so well measured. I’ve never seen another faith–based organization that acts the same way in that everything is measured. And that gives comfort to supporters, that every peso we put in is efficiently stewarded.”
“It takes real courage to constantly question how you’re doing and how you could improve. ICM’s commitment to constantly striving to do the very best for the people and the families that they support has been very impressive.”
“It’s one thing to watch videos or go to the banquets, but to be able to go on a trip where you and your children actually build relationships with the people is really meaningful. Both our trips to the Philippines were just so memorable, and I would recommend that for anybody.”
“I love the way everything is structured so well at ICM. And so now, to start to export that to other parts of the world and hopefully embed into those local communities also, makes me feel I want to do more, because I feel I’m able to touch multiple parts of the world.”
“Simple programs, like savings groups, have grown to be more sophisticated and effective through years of data collection and program analysis. But the heart remains the same: There is hope, and hope will change the face of poverty in years to come.“
