About 95% of ICM participants live in extreme poverty on less than ₱57 per day. Thirty percent live in ultra-poverty—surviving on less than ₱28 per day.

The reality:

• 61% have unsanitary water
• 38% are food insecure
• 23% have no electricity
• 53% live in overcrowded homes
• 18% have no toilet

Families could only afford their minimum daily expenses one day out of every five. Most people went day to day without knowing where the next day’s food would come from.
