We’re grateful for your support – any questions, please get in touch!
A community of passionate, generous people giving what we can to stop the cycle of poverty.
In December 2021, Typhoon Odette swept across the ultra-poor communities serve, leaving many families homeless and with no sources of income. Please give today: your donation helps us provide meals and emergency relief for Typhoon Odette victims.
ICM launched an immediate response to assess the damage in our communities, and the needs were, and remain, dire. For those living in ultra-poverty, on less than US$0.50 per day, this disaster sets back any progress in their journey out of poverty.

When ICM responds to a disaster like Typhoon Odette, our support comprises three phases: Relief, Rebuild, and Recover.
ICM delivers millions of meals to families at risk of starvation. Since Odette hit, we have distributed over 1.6 million meals, but so much need remains. We intend to distribute 6 million meals in the weeks ahead, as well as clean drinking water and solar lights.
Our Odette response includes providing at least 2,000 poor pastors with a one-time building fund to rebuild their local churches, and staff to rebuild their homes. ICM provides US$50 for partially-damaged buildings, and $100 for those that Odette has totally destroyed.
ICM will bring our 6-week Recover Program to 150,000 family members in the next six months to build resilience, help families to heal, and to restart their businesses, savings, and income-generating initiatives.
Maricel participated in ICM’s Recover program and took part in the trauma healing sessions. “We were given a chance to share all our burdens. Through that, my heart felt lighter after sharing my problems and thoughts.”
She added that she also learned that a well-established business plan is very necessary for her business to succeed. Her savings group has resumed their activities and contributions with solid business plans to sustain them. She used the individual cash grants for the reconstruction of their house.
Even with everything that happened to her and her family — or because of it — Maricel looks to the future “full of courage and determination” because she knows that they are not alone.
