ICM’s Director of Research Dr. Lincoln Lau appears as a guest on Episode 8 of Healthy Cities in the SDG Era. It’s a podcast featuring the research conducted by faculty and students at the University of Toronto to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. This podcast is co-hosted by Erica Di Ruggiero, Director of the Centre for Global Health, and Ophelia Michaelides, Manager of the Centre for Global Health at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, University of Toronto. ICM in Healthy Cities in the SDG Era   The episode focuses on the first SDG: No Poverty, which focuses on ending poverty, in all of its forms, everywhere. ICM's work in SDG 1 Dr. Lau talks about the nuances involved in employing poverty reduction interventions used in high resource settings in low and middle-income countries, specifically in his work with ICM. They explored the nature of conducting research in low and middle-income country contexts, and how resource constraints impact every stage of their research process. Of course, they also discuss how COVID-19 affects poverty alleviation in the same context. You can listen to Healthy Cities in the SDG Era on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, or wherever podcasts could be found.
