ICM Trips are a fantastic way for people from all over the globe to get a sense of what ICM is doing. These trips are designed for all ages, with a range of different activities that encompass ICM's many programs. These trips are safe, fun, and rewarding. We encourage everyone to "Come and see". For current ICM partners, it's a great way to connect with your sponsored community and witness the life changes you have been a part of. For potential partners, you get to do some 'hands-on' due diligence.
We take groups of all sizes, and from all walks of life. A number of our travelers are Corporate CSR initiatives, businessmen and women, families, church groups, high school groups, groups of friends who want a purposeful holiday and many more. Below you will find the different kinds of trips that we have at ICM. You will not regret having come on a trip with ICM.
What do others think about ICM trips?
As part of the “Kids Against Poverty” team from Hong Kong, 9 year-old Layla shared her reflection after the trip:
“One of the things that we did when we were there was to visit the homes of the people. Whenever I had a play date here in HK, I always feel nervous that my friends would see my messy house. The people there welcomed us in their houses even though they were old and didn’t have much. I feel lucky now that I have a nice home to live and I shouldn’t be embarrassed about having friends in my house.”
As a participant of a Camp KIVU program with ICM, Rebecka told ICM about her take away after her trip in the Philippines.
“To see what ICM is doing to help all those children impacted me in ways I can’t even explain. One memory that will stick with me forever was in El Nido. I had been going to the preschools regularly to get stories of the children and visit their homes to meet their families. I would see the kids every week and hangout for the day, so they got pretty comfortable with me. One day I went to Marty’s House Learning Center and I am not going to lie, I was starting to feel the heat. I was pretty exhausted. But when the kids saw me they stopped what they were doing and all 23 of them ran over to me and swarmed me with a huge hug! It is something that I will never forget; every time I think about it, it makes me miss what I was doing more than anything. But it also gives me joy to think that I as able to experience that!”
As an ICM Transform Community supporter, Joe says, “It was wonderful to be able to actually see and hear first-hand the stories of families whose lives have been changed in tangible and meaningful ways through ICM’s programs.”
Joe continues, “I was left with a profound sense of hope because, despite the horrific conditions, I was able to see God’s Hand at work in caring for these precious people through ICM’s efforts. Despite their circumstances, their eyes and their smiles reflected back the love they had received, and that they showed a deep sense of joy and peace based on their faith that God ultimately would provide for them.”
